Take a listen to Richard Collopy giving a Welcome to Country below…

In 2023 I was successful in obtaining a grant from the Wheen Bee Foundation and Landcare Australia. Various groups of students have been helping prepare, weed, plant and mulch one of the sad looking paddocks on the school property.

Looking a little to the right.

We have planted indigenous plants, all grown by the local Landcare Shrub Clubm attempting to recreate the original swamp type vegetation and the information plaques will teach visitors about birds, insects, plants and original people of this land.

Many thanks to Gadubanud man, Richard Collopy, for his guidance on some of this project. Caring for country is something we can all do – it’s the only thing that will save what is left. Please visit and watch this revegetation project change over time.
