things to help you understand what is going on
I’ve been doing a lot of science reading and listening in the last few years about what climate change will mean for our lives and our planet. It’s some heavy reading, but…like a quote I came across said ‘we can’t escape the responsibility of tomorrow by escaping it today’ (apparently this was Abraham Lincoln). To have any chance of keeping climate change to below 3 degrees (ideally it was 1.5, but this has already been passed). We can no longer avoid thinking about what it will be like and what each of us can do to change – we need to do anything and everything we can.
Basically, as another person has put it, ‘nature always bats last’ – it is now up to us to decide how big a swing we give her.
Some of these are pretty alarming, so if you need some mental health help, head to that page here.
