Working with artist Peter Day

This semester Apollo Bay College were lucky to have artist Peter Day (@adrift27) working with our art department as part of a Creative Learning Partnership grant through Creative Victoria.

Art as activism

Pete worked with the students to come up with some ideas of how to incorporate ocean protection with an artistic flair. What resulted were a number of sculptures, either using marine plastics or old fishing ropes to highlight both seismic blasting and its devastating impact and the importance of reducing ocean pollution.
